Carr Park was originally built in 1978. The 8.4-acre park features a playground, shelters, ball fields, tennis courts, basketball, roller hockey, and a dog park. The playground receives heavy use and was in need of replacement to provide greater safety and accessibility.

KCI completed construction of the new Carr Park playground spring 2020. The playground incorporates bright, engaging colors and design, and features two play structures, one designed for toddlers and the other for school-aged children. The structures incorporate swings, zipline, ten spin, and climbing options. Surrounding the structures are sand areas and games such as tic tac toe.
